Bama Grad Has Jewish Singles Service
Single and looking?
Jan Koplon, a graduate of the University of Alabama, has opened a Jewish matchmaking service in Atlanta. The National/International Jewish Matchmaking Service is receiving accolades from all segments’ of the Jewish community. Rabbi Ruvi New, former leader of Chabad of East Cobb and now with the Jewish Learning Center of Miami Beach, said Koplon “has earned my respect in her three years in business.”
Ray Horowitz, an Atlanta psychiatrist, said sooner or later, most busy Jewish singles should rely on her expertise since she “always has our best interest at heart.”
Koplon calls herself a “metaphysical relationship consultant.” Initially, she conducts a two-hour personal interview focusing on character, values, attitudes about relationships and lifestyle. She looks beyond the physical in pairing singles. Koplon lectures across the U.S. on “Singles Empowerment”, which she believes is a by-product of finding personal happiness before relationship happiness.
Before starting this service, she created and coordinated the Star Singles and the Rita/Jan Parties for Jewish singles. At the University of Alabama, Koplon was in Delta Phi Epsilon sorority, and was the sweetheart of Phi Epsilon Pi in 1963 and a Nashville native.
